  Mah Ze Tar

  Māh Ze Tār is propelled by the vision of fusing traditional eastern music with modern electronic composition as a form of cultural preservation. Each Māh Ze Tār set is uniquely dynamic- The listener can expect to hear the ancient sounds of the Sitar and Oud in one song and the timeless melodies of the Hulusi, Ney and Duduk in the next- bringing a kaleidoscope of emotions through the wide plethora of ancient sounds, mesmerizing vocals, and grooving beats. Māh Ze Tār seeks to make familiar that which seems “other” through serving the sounds of distant lands on a platter of familiar body moving bass lines and thumping grooves. Māh Ze Tār was an active performing member of Balkan Bump for 3 years and has had significant musical collaborations with Desert Dwellers, David Starfire, Jef Stott, Morillo, Akriza, Nyrus and many others. Notable performances- Red Rocks, Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Gem & Jam, Joshua Tree, Lucidity, Symbiosis, Oregon Eclipse, Oregon Country Fair, Haurkaze Tokyo Festival.

  Jämí

  Jämi Deva is a treasured part of the Big Island Ecstatic Scene as both a leader and a performer. Often, he can be found accompanying Sunday DJs at Kalani with live percussion. It's always a journey of connection when Jämi is guiding our intentional dances.A true musicologist, Jämi sources and rides the emergent wave of sonic innovation. His mixes span all genres and tempos of dance music serving up an alchemical elixir of multi-dimensional sound wizardry. Jami elegantly plays live percussion during his set which uniquely activates the shamanic potential of the dance floor. His beats are a ceremonial carnival of epic proportion. His artistry is truly unique - he is gifted and clearly called to hold some very new and transformational frequencies.Practicing with the Sufi's for over 20 years, Jami is a visionary producer with an ear for the exotic. Jämi believes that Breath, Movement & Music are the keys to unlocking human potential.

  LŪKA is an artist known for blending organic and electronic elements into a beautifully minimalist and emotive sound. His debut album, Forgive Yourself, was praised for its atmospheric production and introspective lyricism, featuring standout tracks like “Fearless” and “Firefly.” With a style that bridges folktronica and electronic pop, LŪKA creates music that feels both intimate and cinematic. Having opened for Reciprocity artists like Ayla Nereo and Mose, he continues to captivate listeners with mantra-like hooks and immersive soundscapes. Together with Nick Waraksa, he will be improvising new sounds for us to dance to at Maui’s Blue Mountain Temple.

  “Nick Waraksa is called “Txai com os instrumentos” (Brother With The Instruments) by Ninawa Pai de Mata, Chief of the Huni Kuin tribe in the Amazon Rainforest. Nick was born into a family of musicians dating back generations and holds degrees in piano performance and music theory from prestigious institutes, expresses it through playing an entourage of instruments and albums in the genres of Neoclassical, Future Folk, FolkTronica, and MedicineFolk. He has also studied and held space with music in sacred ceremonies with several tribes and spiritual leaders of the Amazon Rainforest. What Nick enjoys most is the spirit of improvisation and collaboration. Some of these works include working with Mapu Huni Kuin and Desi Valentine. Nick weaves with LŪKA in their new improvisational collaboration of sonic alchemy.”
